What would be the world without dreamers? We would probably still be in the stone age.

Hitting a brick wall means reaching a dead end or arriving at a point where there is no solution. There are many times when life throws all shades of the dart at you, it is your responsibility to take cover and take charge. However, LIMES and SMILE have the same alphabets but it depends on how you arrange your own words (in the world of Scrabble). You don’t get in life what you want, you get in life what you are.

I was motivated to write this piece after the demise of a young, vibrant young man, a prospective dreamer, castle-builder, I believe, who made a way with himself (May his soul rest in peace) due to frustration and personal reasons he could not share with another soul.

A couple of weeks ago, I was chatting with a friend (a scholar) to be precise and we shared a lot, analyzed several issues people encounter on a daily basis due to one factor or the other. The fact remains there are times you feel like giving up, you get tired but self-motivation comes to play, although we have different gifts and different thresholds. You can as well talk to a friend, family, counselor etc.

Every great dream begins with a dreamer- Harriet Tubman. Your passion in life is what you love doing and have a strong interest in, until that is fulfilled, dreams, success are not visible!

Who is a Dreamer?

A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world — Oscar Wilde

All men dream, but not equally either you go back to sleep and dream your dreams or wake up and chase those dreams. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible — T.E Lawrence

Dreams only die if you let them but Dreamers don’t die. According to Kumai Nanjiani: you can go slow, allow your dreams and goals to change but LIVE an intentional LIFE. Personal discovery is key n securing/following your dreams. If you have not discovered yourself kindly increase your bandwidth (improve your connection) and connect with your Creator.

Walt Disney was fired from a newspaper because he lacked imagination. But he had the courage to chase his dreams, you know the rest of the story.

Jack Johnson said “Don’t let your dreams be dreams” because dreams don’t work unless the dreamer works. So, throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, Dream and Discover.

In the words of Eleanor Roosevelt, the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. This means you must be a dream chaser because it does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live — J.K Rowling. Therefore, let your dreams be bigger than your fears.

Circumstances of life may be hard and tough, desires may not have been met, there may be disappointments, lack, things may not be working as planned, NEVER BE DISCOURAGED and remember DREAMERS DON’T DIE. Always remember you have within you the strength, patience and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world, don’t give up on your dreams or your dreams will give up on you.

(NB: Don’t ever think of committing suicide because it is neither the best solution nor the last resort)SAY NO TO SUICIDE. To everyone out there, the most precious gift we can offer anyone is our attention. When mindfulness embraces those, we love they will blossom- TNH
