Too many people lose control of their life by surrendering leadership to outside factors. Take over the leadership spot in your life, never let the problem be an excuse. People who love to win will be successful, there is no excuse for not trying.
Let me share a story with you. There is a woman named Florence Nightingale, she was born into wealth and social prominence in London, England. An English social reformer and statistician, and the founder of modern nursing. A brilliant young lady from a wealthy family wrote in her diary “I SEE NOTHING THAT I DESIRE TODAY, OTHER THAN DEATH”, the acrimony of her response was shocking! She wanted to become a nurse but her parent said it was beneath their dignity, later her mother wrote “We are two ducks, my husband and I, and we've given birth to a WILD SWAN”. I believe you have a better insight why she wrote that piece in her diary. However, they said she was possessed by demons (can you imagine) because she was ready to take over the leadership spot in her life. She was criticized yet she never gave up her dream.
Florence Nightingale became a nurse, served as a manager and trainer of nurses during the Crimean War, in which she organized care for wounded soldiers. She gave nursing a favorable reputation and became an icon of Victorian culture, especially in the persona of “The Lady with the Lamp” making rounds of wounded soldiers at night. She wrote and published notes on how hospitals should be managed, most of us enjoyed that rigid, tough decision. Dr. Butler of Baylor University wrote “When things get rough don’t move” because people and pressures shift but the soil remain the same. Remember, after a storm comes a calm.
In the same vein, Robert Schuller said “don’t sell your real estate because there is no electricity in the building”. The wrong negative decision during tough periods/seasons are irreversible and it can mar your destiny,CAUTION,WATCH IT!
FACE your FEAR, it will definitely become FEARFUL if you expect others to rescue you, trust me you will only be DISAPPOINTED, solutions are never found by running away from tough times/ problem. Look to God and to your own capabilities.
The present phase where you find yourself might be dry be rest assured it’s cloudy somewhere and it will definitely rain only if you can wait for the downpour. Look on the brighter side when tough seasons sets in, you may not have the connections to accomplish your dreams. You don’t know the right people, you don’t have the funding but when God releases a flood of favor people will come out of the woodwork to help you achieve that dream.
However, if you are gainfully employed, always do more than you are paid for, do what is right, do more than what others expect, go the extra mile, burn extra oil, take action, imbibe the act of helping people, don’t waste time and NEVER LOOK BACK. NEVER abhor those people who are JEALOUS of you, but respect their JEALOUSY because they are the ones who think you are AMAZING.
NB: Tough homo sapiens born of a woman reading this piece: — People should not define who you are, your value doesn't come from people rather it comes from your Creator. Believe me, anyone who does not understand your statement of problem will judge your aim and objectives from an ill-informed perspective (Blind men can judge no colors). Every difficulty you go through, every bad energy (stay far away), negative feedbacks (trucks loaded with containers labeled “NO”, every person that leaves is not meant to stop you. It is meant to push you, stretch you, mature you, make you stronger, and to make you appreciate a bowl of bitter leaf soup (SWEETNESS)
All in all, in the words of WealthWalker : If you want to please everybody start selling ICE-CREAM, you don’t need everyone to love you, just a few. “ Quit being unhappy over somebody that walked away or refused to help you. If they left you, their time was up, STEP into the new SEASON, another homo sapien born of a woman is ready to STEP IN”
