Disclaimer,

I’m an enthusiast of ciggaretes. Hence, this film took a special place in my heart. Another note, I haven’t give the book a read. So, no comparison exist in this review.

Worry not for some who haven’t watched it, because there wouldn’t be any spoiler. Also could be biased, as what I am stating all based from my vision. Yet, this review is dedicated to a lover of mine that’s been wanting to give it a watch.

Starting from the visual, miraculous. I. Am. A. Big. Fan. The plot was kind of expected, not a real plot twist to my eyes, as some cues has been dropped here and there. But it doesn’t reduce the amount of how good they packed all the elements in.

One thing I like much, and in which deserve a big recognition is they narrate it well. I happen to be not a big historical geeks, so it helps. A lot. So then, the folks can still keep up with the storyline. My big appreciation to those whom included this.

Then, how ciggaretes could be such a love language … to one another. On God. It’s really something. How you create a great composition to be so devoted, so gentle, and so considerate. How you can taste, and feel the slight differencial ingredients. It shivers me.

As someone who is beyond complex myself, rarely feel understood by others, the gaze they throw on one another … Hits me. Right on the spot. How you knew;

No one gets you, but I do.

It raised feminism issues, too. Goodness Gracious. The bravery, the courage, and the smile. It makes me happy, whether this is a fictional or real one. How woman can also take place on being “the maker” of her own creation. As well as taking credits for all the efforts she have put in it.

There goes the review, dearest. Hope it helps you. Give it a watch, when I am busy with my thing. May it be a good company during your me-time. I adore you much.

Cheers,

Alexandre.
