Also, who are you suggesting ignores it? Everyone? As you concede yourself, the media, without some radical change, won’t ignore it. Nor will the people who suffered because of the attacks. While the perpetrators and planners may care, on the macro level, about attracting the eyeballs of your average Medium reader, its the people who can’t (relatives, people who live in the area, etc.) or won’t (the voracious story hounds)ignore it that keep them going.
