Introducing ODIN LABS — A Collaborative Workspace for Blockchain-Based Products and Services
What is ODIN LABS?
ODIN LABS provides designers and engineers an opportunity to collaborate with ODIN Society in building new C#, C++, Typescript, and JavaScript applications. Easily interface with existing ODIN LABS infrastructure and the ODIN Blockchain now by joining other talented developers in their ongoing development of existing applications and blockchain services with ODIN LABS.
Who Are Ideal ODIN LABS Collaborators?
Ideal contributors are experienced blockchain developers with a mobile-focused background, particularly that of iOS and Android. However, our suite of products and services span C#, C++, Typescript, and JavaScript applications and we would love to hear more about potential ODIN development on any of these fronts.
Support Structure
We provide free support and funding for innovative new projects through our workers cooperative model. Current developers have extensive experience when it comes to C#, C++, and Javascript and are there to provide support when needed.
Compensation
Compensation will be evaluated on a case by case basis, but will almost exclusively take place in payment of ODIN Coin, the native currency of the ODIN Blockchain for first time ODIN contributors.
Onboarding
Onboarding of new talent will occur as such:
- Talent will reach out to ODIN Society with expressed interest and will seek clarity in evaluating their compatibility with the project.
- Upon determining compatibility, the talent will fill out a simple one-page form outlining how they hope their skill set will further the current developmental state of the project. First outlines will include a brief description of how you expect to impact the existing ecosphere.
- ODIN Society will evaluate your initial proposal and determine an appropriate compensation package in the form of ODIN Coin.
Phase 1 Contributors:
The ODIN Society currently makes use of a multi-signature wallet that contains funds reserved for a host of future needs including, but not limited to the compensation of both existing and new contributors.
Phase 2 Contributors:
Phase two contributors will have established themselves within the community and garnered the trust of both ODIN Society and the community at large. This allows for a wider array of compensation packages including, but not limited to, payment via our MasterNode proposal system in the form of ODIN Coin, FIAT currencies, and upon request, Bitcoin.
Additional Information
Our team of developers is primarily working with C#, C++, Typescript, and JavaScript for current developmental efforts. The ODIN Blockchain source code is written in C++ and thus Core ODIN Blockchain development will require experience in C++. Tools, Utilities and higher-level apps, like games, can interface with the RPC/API interfaces and therefore require C#, JS/TS experience (or new interfaces can be created in their language of choice!).

ODIN Society recognizes the ever-evolving landscape of development and as such we are eager to hear how you feel additional coding languages can support in the development of the ODIN ecosphere.
