The largest beaver dam is located in a remote area of Wood Buffalo National Park, and is thought to have been the work of several beaver families. Thus far, it seems like only one person has visited the dam: an explorer named Rob Mark. Mark has hiked in the Amazon rainforest, but described his mosquito-filled trek to the beaver dam as “the longest, hardest ten miles I have ever travelled.”
