You made a fundamental point. “The same qualities considered desirable in men are often not considered desirable in women.” Fully agree that what women want in men is not the same as what men want from women. It’s not that career-minded or ambitious women are undesirable as such. It’s that other factors play a much larger role in what makes a woman attractive to men.

The yoga instructor example was simply this: men are much more visual than women, and looks matter more to men than they do to women. Also, a kind and supportive personality counts for a lot more than ambition. What that means is attractive women with warm personalities will have many partner options in the same way wealthy and successful men do. It’s just what each group values.
