I agree with you about the Euron stuff, but I’m not sure why you find Randall Tarly defecting so hard to believe. Beyond the self-interest part, Jason has addressed in numerous places that we’ve seen Tarly be a xenophobic dick to Gilly and now there’s a bunch of barbarians and freed slaves about to attack his homeland. It’s not a crazy leap to think…

The Celtics didn’t break up until after they’d already won a title and made a second Finals, so they’re on a very different level than the teams in this article. One could even argue that they triumphed over LeBron since they won a title before he did. They just got old after that.
It’s certainly possible that George would have been willing to stay in Boston if they’d made the Finals in his first year or really challenged the Cavs. But yeah, it’s still a big gamble for a guy who has specifically said he wants to go to LA already. It’s a gamble I would have taken were I Ainge, but its’ a gamble nonetheless.
The ending looks like another fantasy scene at first as it’s shot in hazy black and white, but then it transitions to color to show the audience that it’s actually happening.
Yes. Signing and trading players is pretty much the entirety of a GM’s job along with signing coaches and drafting once a year. Coaches are the ones responsible for player development. And that player development can only do so much if they don’t have the right pieces at their disposal.
