Rate3 Progress Update #9 (16–31 August)
With a brand new strategy and direction all set for Rate3, we are now going at full speed to fulfil the next few steps in our Roadmap! A 1st place win on HADAX Voting, a live AMA, 90K community members, and more, all in 2 weeks’ work!
1. TECHNICAL UPDATES
1.1 Rate3: A New Beginning
We started off August with a big bang — releasing our brand new strategy and direction for Rate3. To find out more, check out our detailed strategy:

A summary of Rate3: Rate3 is a decentralised dual protocol to bridge enterprises to blockchains through cross-chain asset tokenization and identity management.

2. MARKETING UPDATES
2.1 PayPal Presentation (16 August 2018)
Jake officially introduced Rate3’s at the Paypal office. Paypal is one of the world’s leading online payments company, and as one of the pioneers in the fintech and payments industry, have decades of experience in fraud detection, compliance, payments and credit. Stay tuned for more updates on Rate3’s partnership with Paypal!
2.2 Longhash Mesh (16 August 2018)
Jake was specially invited to attend the exclusive LongHash Mesh event. LongHash is a leading platform for blockchain tech development, and has already cemented their hold in 6 countries globally! Stay tuned.
2.3 Singapore University of Social Sciences (17 August 2018)
Jake was invited by Singapore University of Social Sciences to impart valuable knowledge on how Singapore fits into the blockchain and crypto world.
SUSS is a university under the ambit of MOE and is well-known for its emphasis on lifelong-learning.
2.4 Community Growth (22 August 2018)
The Rate3 Official Community Group is now 90,000 members strong! We want to thank our community for your unwavering support and it is only a matter of time before we hit 100,000, the maximum number of members a Telegram Supergroup can host! Stay tuned for that!
2.5 HADAX Live AMA (27 August 2018)
Prior to the HADAX (Huobi Autonomous Digital Asset Exchange) voting round held on the 27th August, 2–3pm, Rate3 held a live AMA session from 1–2pm in Paypal’s premises.
The live AMA was streamed on Inke, Youtube and Facebook simultaneously, and Jake sat down with Cheryl Gan to answer questions coming in live from the public and the community members. It was a fruitful session and many questions were answered. Thank you once again for your participation!
2.6 HADAX LIVE (27 August 2018)
Rate3 is very honoured to have placed 1st in the HADAX 2.0 Voting!
Rate3 clinched 1st place in the HADAX Voting (after HPT, Huobi’s own token), exceeding target votes of 210,000 HTs!
This means that Rate3 will be listed on HADAX, please wait for the good news that will come out in early September!
2.7 HADAX Live AMA Airdrop (29 August 2018)
The airdrop event concluded the HADAX live AMA and HADAX Voting, and community members who sent in questions during the Live AMA received RTE for their participation!
2.8 Releases
Following our recent efforts in outreach, Rate3 has been making waves in Korea. A Korean publication, FamTimes, has published an article on Rate3’s vision, mission and partners! If you are interested, check out the article here:

2.9 Honey Bot: Behind-The-Scenes
This week, the Rate Engineering Team released an article on how we built our very own Rate3 Honey Bot. Giving our community members a peek into the world of bots and what they can do with them!
Moving forward, more weekly engineering tidbits will be shared on how we are building the project. So, stay tuned!
3. UPCOMING UPDATES
3.1 HADAX Listing (early September, 2018)
$RTE will be listed on the HADAX in early September! More good news will be coming to you soon. Keep a look out on our announcement changes.
3.2 Tokenization & Identity Protocol Demo
Two more demos will be revealed in the first half of September, and they will feature our tokenization and identity protocol. This follows on the heels of the IPFS demo.

Apart from these, we are developing more proof-of-concept tech demos that include on-chain public key management, public-key encryption, association with Ethereum/Stellar addresses, and further integration with Stellar’s Federation/Compliance protocol.
