Drive a Car For MYR3 Onward With SOCAR Driving Week!

Transportation and getting around in Malaysia is a big thing. To get to one point to another can be a hassle if you do not own a car. Of course there are ride-hailing services that you can rely on. Ride hailing, though convenient does not give you the flexibility of owning and driving your own car. So what if you want to drive but do not want to own a car?
Car sharing of course. SOCAR has been one of Malaysia’s fastest expanding and top car sharing services if not the top. Their consistent growth also shows with an expanding fleet and selection of vehicles available.
They started out with only up to three available areas and a fleet of 240 cars consisting of Perodua Axia, Honda City, Honda HR-V, and Mini Cooper as part of their selection. Recently the list of cars has grown with Perodua Myvi, Toyota Vios, Toyota Corolla-Altis Volkswagen Polo, and Perodua Alza. Right now also SOCAR’s fleet is 300 vehicles strong in more than 150 locations in the Klang Valley area. Prices vary from MYR8/hour to MYR30/hour with the range topping Mini Cooper at the top of the price range. User base wise SOCAR has more than 45,000 registered members and counting.
For this week (7th — 13th May, 2018) though SOCAR is having their driving week celebration coinciding their expansion. With the driving week members can drive selected vehicles starting from MYR3 and up to MYR6 every hour. Of course with every hour 30KM of petrol is included up to 300KM for a full day of booking. This also means that the already affordable prices become even more affordable for the week.

The promotion prices runs from the 7th of May (9.00 a.m.) to 13th of May (7.00 p.m.), 2018 only. SOCAR is planning to continue expanding to more locations and add to their fleet (selection and fleet size). Eventually they hope to be able to expand to other regions other than Klang Valley. They are also consistently experimenting with more services via the app. The SOCAR app is available for free in Google’s Play Store, and Apple’s App Store.
