In order to set up and run the virtual machine, we first need to activate Hyper-V technology from the Bios settings. The name may change from motherboard to motherboard. For this, you can search and activate Hyper-V technology with your motherboard model.

  • The Virtual Machine can be created based on the properties on your host machine.
  • We should pay attention to the bit value of our system and download the virtual machine bit value. For example 32bit||64bit
  • There are two types of installations. I will show you in order.
  • I will post the images below.

| SETUP VmWare Workstation 16 Player

1. Launch VMware Workstation.

2. Create a New Virtual Machine.

3. We select the saved iso file and click next.

4. We can change the name of the machine if we want. We can also change where the machine will be installed.

5. The next step is to determine the disk size. Since the two options below are pretty self-explanatory, I choose the expandable disk size.

6. From the “Customize Hardware” section, we can determine the properties of the virtual machine we will install. The option with a tick below allows you to start the machine directly after the installation is finished.

7.When I run the Virtual Machine, we will install Windows 10. After that, our machine will now be ready for use.

Create VM_Number2
Create iso_Number3
Create iso_Number4
Create iso_Number5
Create iso_Number6
Finish Windows 10

| SETUP VmWare Workstation 16 PRO

  • I will share the file types so that we can install a created virtual machine.

1. Open a Virtual Machine.

2. We select the vmx type part of the downloaded Virtual machine.

3. Before installing the Virtual Machine, we can change its properties.

4. The Debian-based Kali Linux operating system that I have shown here. After saying run the virtual machine, our system will be opened as installed.

Open a Virtual Machine_Number1
.vmx_Number2
example .vmdk
Kali Linux_Edit_Number3
Finish KaliLinux_Number4

I hope I was able to explain it well. If there is a missing or wrong place, do not forget to comment and indicate.

Thank you :)
