I did say in the article that Flexbox meets the criteria for a true grid system. In some way, that is.

I’ve particularly used it many times for this purpose too.

The only reason I think the community is doing this is because the true grid system (CSS Grids) isn’t widely available yet.

I really doubt that anyone in their right mind will choose Flexbox over Grids when ‘Grids’ is widely available and implemented in all major browsers. It’s not going to happen

Right now, Flexbox may be the best we’ve got for the Job.

It’s not perfect — but it does the Job well for now.
