Same. Please, please, don’t end articles on self-care with advice that’s guaranteed to make lots of people sad because they can’t follow it and you’ve taken it for granted that everyone can (and, by extension, you’ve assumed everyone reading is young enough that they probably have living parents, not to mention the assumptions about people’s relationships with parents).

Just adding, “if she’s still around”, “if you have one”, or even “if you can” would go a huge way.
