You missed out the part where Rob Eisenberg, one of the key players in Angular 2’s conception, left the project because he didn’t like the direction it was going. He founded Aurelia which emphasized convention over configuration, leading to a far easier ramp up for development with far, far less boiler plate [than Angular.] It also embraced components heartily and made a point of basing pretty much everything on emerging standards, so that as browsers advanced and adopted standards, parts of Aurelia would fall away without breaking backwards compatibility.
