Hiring a programmer? Ditch the coding interview and get back to basics
Dan Kim

There are people who can write well, and manage themselves, and be culturally coherent, and absolutely unable to code. This just happens.

We do technical interview as a part of our hiring process only to ensure that the candidate has the necessary skills to write and read code. To reason about it, to rise the right questions. It’s not very effective of course, and it’s not cheap, but there’s no better option.
