REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST TO DEVELOP A BRAND IDENTITY FOR KIIRA COLLEGE OLD BOYS ASSOCIATION (KICOBA)
1. Introduction:
Kiira College Old Boys Association (KICOBA) hereinafter referred to as the “”Association”” is an alumna of old boys of Kiira College Butiki in Jinja. The Association brings together old boys of Kiira College Butiki from different parts of Uganda and beyond. KICOBA intends to rebrand and improve its brand identity by clearly defining its core values, beliefs, culture, and also a logo that can be adopted, used, and revered by all the old boys of Butiki.
Therefore, the Association, represented by its Secretariat now seeks the services of a competent and qualified individual/firm to develop their brand identity.
The overall objective is to come up with a brand identity that identifies the old boys with their school but is distinct in terms of the logo from the Kiira College Butiki.
2. Scope of the Assignment:
The Assignment shall comprise but not necessarily be limited to the following tasks:
2.1 Developing and innovating a brand identity and value system that will have a lasting impression. It must include but not be limited to the brand manual, logo, colors, brand method, etc
2.2 Coming up with a Logo for the Association that shall be adopted and used on all Associations events and partnerships with any other individual/Association or company in any of the Associations Activities
2.3 Formulate a cultural, beliefs and value system for the Association
2.4 Prepare and share with the secretariate for approval draft brand identity
2.10 Printing final approved copies (5No) of the brand concept and 3 copies of the logo and sharing soft copies of both the brand concept and logo with the Associations Secretariat on a CD ROM
2.11 Holding meetings with the Associations Secretariat to share the perceived ideas and concepts for the brand and obtain approvals for the same.
3. Performance Period:
The exercise shall be undertaken in a period not exceeding two (2) months commencing one week from the date of receipt of a duly signed commitment (contract) between the Association and the best-evaluated firm/individual.
4. The Firm’s staffing, qualifications, and Experience:
The key staff positions listed below are considered essential and will be the basis for the evaluation of the firm's proposed staffing. Experience of the firm in at least two assignments of a similar nature in the last 5years, knowledge of the value system, and beliefs of Kiira College Butiki shall be key in the choice of the best service provider. For a firm; the following staff shall be required and will be considered essential
i) Team Leader — Relevant Bachelors Degree either in marketing, fine Art ……and with 10 years’ demonstrable experience in developing brand concepts/logos ( you can propose required qualifications as you wish)
ii) Support Staff –Diploma in any relevant training related to the assignment with 7 years experience
iii) The firm is free to propose their staffing arrangement as they deem fit but the two staff mentioned above shall be the basis for evaluation purposes
5. Candidature
All eligible firms and/or individuals are free to express their interest.
6. Selection Criteria.
The following criteria will be applied.
(i). Eligibility of the Service Provider.
For Firms;
The following minimum eligibility documents shall be required as part of the application.
· A copy of the Trading Licence for 2021 or its equivalent.
· A copy of the Certificate of Registration of the firm or its equivalent.
· Experience of the firm in brand concept
For an Individual;
* A copy of the National Identity card/passport
* A signed detailed Curriculum Vitae clearly describing similar services undertaken in the last ten years.
(ii). Technical Capacity.
The Firm shall possess the required staff with the requisite qualifications and experience as defined in 4 above.
The number of similar assignments shall be evidenced by copies of reference letters, contracts, or recommendations from Clients related to specific assignments.
7. Selection of the firm/individual:
The selection criteria shall be on a pass/fail basis

Applications in English, clearly marked ‘’ Expression of Interest to develop brand Identity for KICOBA,’’ indicating the name of the applicant shall be submitted at the address indicated at 9 below by 7th january 2021 at 300pm.
