DISCOVER THE EFFECTIVE TIPS FOR INCREASING YOUR WRITING SPEED AS FREELANCE CONTENT CREATOR!

You can get more copy/content writing jobs, do them effectively and meet up with deadlines without skipping your meal or rest time.

Want to know how?

I've discovered that aside from coming up with ideas on what to write, one of the main problems faced by freelance writers is their inability to increase their writing speed. Consequently, they only WORK HARDER but not SMARTER. Things could be really difficult for freelance writers in a situation whereby they have a whole lot of assignments to work on and the deadline for each assignment is very close. A question like, how do I get these assignments done without lowering the quality? may pop up but at the same time, we're tempted not to turn down the job offer or hire someone to do it on our behalf at a reasonable price. It happens, especially at periods, we need extra cash to settle some stuff. However, a lot of copy/content writers have lost potential clients because they couldn't meet up with deadlines for their assignments.

Here are some effective tips that I believe will help you INCREASE YOUR WRITING SPEED.

1. Know what works for you: The best way to do this is through self-examining. Discover your productive periods and use them wisely. These are the times you ought to write down your ideas, create solutions to the some problems then draft a copy of your content.
I often hear some people say the best time to think and come up with great ideas are periods when one is in a calm environment.
However, I disagree with that because I know brainy folks that are more productive when they are in noisy areas. They love listening to songs etc while writing, learning, or reading. But for someone like me, the reverse is the case which means that what works well for me might not work for you.

I reiterate, know what works for you. Don't just act based on anyone's idea (discover your strengths and weaknesses).

2. Research: You can't fetch water from an empty well. Don't start writing without knowing the specific points you want to lay emphasis on in your write-up. Research helps you to discover new facts about the topic you want to work on. It also helps you verify facts so that you can make corrections in necessary areas.
It is, therefore, essential to carry out substantial research to save yourself the stress of racking your brain while writing.
Research also makes your work a lot easier as you tend to thrice faster than someone who does not have an idea of what to write.

In addition, avoid over researching if you want to increase your writing speed. You can't write down every point under a topic in one article so why waste your time researching for hours or days when you have a deadline to meet? To avoid over researching, all you need to do is to jot down salient points and then use practical examples to back them up.

3. Don't be in haste to edit: Wanting your copy to be perfect the first time is a waste of time because you might have to spend about or over 30 minutes perfecting the first paragraph.
Editing is another work entirely that needs to be suspended until the end of your write-up. Waiting to finish your write-up before editing won't only help you to write faster, it will also help you save enough time to edit your work thoroughly.
4. Keep learning and write frequently: Intelligence saves a whole lot of your time when it comes to writing. The reason is that you wouldn't have to check through hundreds of cheat sheets before you can come up with a brilliant headline or sub-headline. In addition, a good way to increase your writing speed is to write frequently (practice makes perfect).

I hope you got value.
