AFTER YOU HAVE GROWN, REMAIN A LEARNER
I took a little time to check when i joined a certain what’sapp group for African Entrerpreneurs
And it was far back as 2018
Which means it's over 2 years plus of being there.
I think over that period of time, some of us have given free counsels and shared our troubles here as well
If I'm to compile my contributions on the group alone, it will be up to two books
However, that we speak, or give counsels doesn't mean we are perfect
It simply means we want to be a part of the Journey of others and be a part of their stories
One major truth no one can deny, is that, over those 2 years plus, we have all grown
From lessons, talks, counsels, Everyone has grown (assumedly)
And yes, we can do stuffs without being babysit
It will however be bad and harmful, after growth has happened, and results obtained, that we despise the same voices that once spoke to what we do
Don't let growth, affect your ability to accept externalities.
I was in another African Group yesterday, and i posted a question as regards one of our EdTech StartUps, Even though i seem to know what I'm doing.
People Started giving counsels.
One thing led to the other, and in few hours, I was speaking with the CTO of one of the largest Fibre Optics Network Brand in Africa, about some high level partnership
But honestly, i could have been thinking like "what do these people know?"
I think one lesson i have learnt, that has kept me going
Is the Ability to remain a Learner, and always willing to welcome ideas and counsels
And If there is one major killer of big Entrepreneurs, that I've seen, it's Ego
That's why Ryan Holiday wrote a book titled; Ego is the Enemy for every Entepreneur that wants to last.
I do hope we do not get to a point whereby, people will not bother to speak to us or show any concern when it pertains to our matter
My mentor taught me this;
To be a winner in Life
Remain Sendable and
It's one of the best Lesson I won't ever forget
I do trust we'll all have great wins ahead
Simply remain a Learner!!!
