100 MOVIES IN A YEAR: #N/A Intruders & #14 The Founder

I’ll sit through some bad crap; almost every single movie ever made has something worth sitting through. Imposters is the rare movie that offers literally nothing worth watching. It is bad in the worst way possible; it is insanely boring. Nothing is original, nothing is taken to its most extreme; hell, it can’t even live up the movie’s description of the main character having agoraphobia is “not her only psychosis.” She’s mostly just pretty good at defending herself. If you want that, just watch You’re Next.
After giving up on Intruders about 60% of the way through, I moved over The Founder. In the way that Intruders is a bland, middle brow horror/thriller, The Founder is bland, middle brow awards bait. It doesn’t even tell its own crazy story in an interesting way; you just sort of get it, beat for beat. It largely has no opinion about what kind of guy Ray Kroc was, other than aggressive and determined to succeed. It’s not even wacky or satirical, the way The Informant! is. But at least it’s got a bunch of good actors in it, so you can actually be bothered to finish it.
