This is the problem with modern news media. The old guard created an echo chamber among themselves. I read the same exact news headline or article repeated in ever so slightly different ways for days on end.

I already know what happened — from Twitter, from blogs, from my own observations. I need media to explain it to me. There are still outlets that offer such insight. I love The Economist, for instance. I think The New York Times is one such outlet. Maybe The Atlantic. I subscribe to all three. I enjoy reading their opinion pieces and their explanations of the world events.
