Very much agree with no negotiations and standing by your quote. Being in software engineering for many years, often clients point out they can get the job done cheaper — a bit or a lot — in India and such. Very well, I say, I encourage that. Once I read an analogy for negotiations of this kind — a person wouldn’t request Mercedes drops a price because they can get Tayota for a fraction of it. If you get a client agreeing to a lower price, you won’t be as productive, some of the energy will go towards worrying about the next project. In addition, that client would expect the same low price or likely even a further discount.
