I think it might lead to empowerment. It will for sure help in clarifying your thoughts and beliefs, choosing the right words and formulating your message while you’re still unsure and clumsy in a way. But once you get it down and convince yourself enough of your own truth (whether or not others agree with it) you won’t need to hide behind anonymity anymore.
