List of the best/worst places in Boston for working remotely/studying

The yes list:

  • Cafe Nero Downtown — so far my most favorite place to work remotely. There are nice seats outside (great place in the hot summer days: due to wind between buildings, it is usually chilly there) and tables/couches inside. Coffee is decent. Wi-fi is fast and stable.
  • Boston Common Coffee Co North End (97 Salem St, Boston 02113) — decent. It could be a better place (couches and tables are nice), but the whole interior somehow is cheap looking like a countryside coffee shop. Wi-fi is slow.

The no list:

  • Boston Public Library North End Branch — despite the nice location, the library inside is dirty and smelly, reminding of a shelter rather than a place to work. Wi-fi is slow.
  • South End Buttery — Lovely place, which, has nice outside seats and, sadly, doesn’t have a wi-fi.
