maybe it would be fair to say that almost any kids’ book is life-changing?

I love the Berenstein Bears too.

I thought when you meant trashy you might have meant something with a poorly clad, hunky man on the cover. I fear I have never read any.

I did read a rather poorly written sci-fi novel a few years back that I, nevertheless, quite liked and learned a good deal from anyhow. It was called The Last Fleet. Dull plot. Unrealistic characters. Good romp.

I also read a whole series when I was thirteen called The Animorphs. Rather dreadfully written, two-dimensional, implausible series about six kids acting as the only opposition to an Invasion of the Bodysnatchers style alien invasion. I loved every page of them.

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
