Medical Illustration- The Femur Bone

This illustration simply depicts the most prominent features of the femur bone. As mentioned in my first shadow day post, thick cortical bone, as can be seen in this femur, is very important. It creates strength and stability in the bone and lowers a patient’s risk for complications and slow recovery in a total knee replacement.
