NFL Preseason Preview Essays

This season, rather than run through a traditional “preseason preview” piece — ins/outs, what’s changed, and predicting records — I’m going a different way.

Instead, I’m writing more in-depth feature pieces (essentially essays) about the key to each team’s season, or simply what I find most interesting from a schematic standpoint — while drawing in bigger picture thoughts around the team.

All pieces will be available at All22.com as we roll towards the season.

The current pieces are listed below and will be updated as I go:

Arizona Cardinals — Budda Baker and Haason Reddick show the Cardinals are embracing position-less football

LA Rams — Jared Goff’s development: Is he in danger of being the next big bust?

New England Patriots — Need for speed: Re-shaped defensive front plugs biggest hole / How Brandin Cooks fits in the Patriots’ offense

Oakland Raiders — Raiders head-up latest trend of eligible linemen

Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Tampa’s passing attack set to be among the league’s best

Houston Texans — Can Deshaun Watson and Bill O’Brien coexist?

New York Giants

Detroit Lions
