Thoughts from my MORNING STUDY (TFMMS): The Mirror Of Relationship
Life is like a series of concentric circles.
The way you feel about yourself, how you treat and manage yourself and what you believe about yourself are at the very centre of the innermost circle.
These fundamental beliefs influence everything in your life.
The story you tell yourself affects the way you show up in the world and the way the rest of the world feels about you and interacts with you.
As Robin Sharma, author of The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari puts it,
“Your inner reality dictates your outer reality.”
If you don’t have faith in yourself, then it’s very difficult for other people to have faith in you.
If you have a lack of motivation and struggle to commit to anything, then other people will pick up on your lack of faith and project it back to you.
Relationships are like a mirror.
Other people tend to reflect back what we show them.
If we show up as pushy, impatient and aggressive, then it’s likely that most of our interactions will be unpleasant and other people will treat us harshly.
In contrast, if we are open, kind and empathetic, then most of our conversations and dealings with people will be pleasant and positive.
Change starts within
Mindset is everything.
Instead of fighting the world and expecting it to shape itself around you, you must go within and start rewriting the story of who and what you are.
If you want to improve the outer reality of your life, first you must work on the inner reality.
You must create a positive self-image and go back to the absolute basics of how you feel about yourself, how you treat yourself and how you manage your basic needs.
Do you actually like yourself?
Can you spend time alone, without distractions or entertainment and be happy with who and what you are, at the most intimate level?
Are your thoughts predominantly negative or positive?
Despite what you think, the answer is most likely negative. Although we have glimpses of positivity, it is astonishing how many thoughts pass through a human brain each day and how many of these tend to be negative and fear-based.
If you want to make changes to your body, health, fitness, relationships and business or financial success, then you have to upgrade your mindset and learn how to harness the most powerful weapon and muscle you have…
Your MIND.
