Sustainable Parenting Thoughts (from a Child)

People have all sorts of expectations for their unborn children.

For actual parents with living children, the expectations are more specific and standard, like:

1. Be successful

2. Be happy

3. Make daddy/mommy proud.

I think no matter how varied and different all our expectations are for our born and unborn children, virtually all of us can agree on those 3 things.

Some people hope their children will be like them or will be “responsible” or won’t be gay…will be different but socially conventional.

Me, I’m still my parents child properly, and my beautiful ones are not yet born, but I have only one expectation: they can’t be climate change deniers.

I think that’s what sustainable parenting is in the end: teaching your child to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
