Because of what I am

Where others see a brown chair, I see a well-finished timber-textured buffalo-skin leather sofa.

Where someone saw just an illumination, I see a 600mm x 600mm 32 watts brilliantly-golden recessed LED lights.

What is to others, a good closure, is to me an 0.96mm gap that gives access to insects.

Where others see a thick forest, I visualize sets of well-furnished residential blocks making up an estate.

When others see two thick parallel black lines, I see a 225mm thick plastered and painted blockwall.

Where others see a perfect surface, I see a rough wall that needs to be screed.

Where someone else sees a tiny piece of land, I imagine the exquisite structure to propose on the land.

What is to someone a window, is to me a 1000mm x 2400mm powder-coated grey aluminum casement window with 5mm thick grey reflective glass.

Where others see problems and setbacks, I see doors of opportunities.

Where others saw an avenue to make money and win competitions, I saw a means of solving life problems.

I can't change where I come from or what i've been through; so I refuse to be ashamed of what makes me; me

...just because of what I am
