Anywhere you go in the world, it is very evident in that the female folks don’t like credit. No matter the amount you put on targeted marketing (which I wouldn’t advice) won’t drastically increase female participation on credit. What I found interesting tho is the % of female participation in SS. It just laid bare some old truths of what I’ve heard about the region. Very funny but interesting.

On data interpretation, it is what it is. Nothing more. The assumption that the female folks rarely default on credit is very shaky. If participation was 50/50 or even 60/40 (Male to Female ratio), then we can truly test such assumption. Women are cautious, yes, but to label them less risky is you putting your business at great danger… and, this is Nigeria!
