Airtel is Empowering Nigerian Journalists with Special Multimedia Training

Airtel Nigeria is empowering journalists to become more adept and proficient at their jobs through the sponsorship of the exclusive Journalism Clinic, a multi-media training designed to bridge the gap between traditional and digital journalism practice.

Taiwo Obe, Founder, Journalism Clinic; Dan Mason, Facilitator, Journalism Clinic; Emeka Oparah, Airtel’s Director of Corporate Communications & CSR and Erhumu Bayagbon, Airtel’s Head (Ag.), Public Relations at the flag-off of the initiative on Monday (21st August), in Lagos.

Vice President, Corporate Communications & CSR, Airtel Nigeria, Emeka Oparah, said the telco “strongly believes that the more our journalists are equipped, the better for our society.” The Airtel Journalism Clinic, which is facilitated by Dan Mason, an internationally-acclaimed digital journalism trainer, will last six days in Lagos (Aug 21–26), three days in Kaduna (Aug 28–30) and will focus on multimedia storytelling and data journalism.
