You start your article by saying that these are your personal anecdotes, and that’s it, stories, no more “my daughter, my colleague said this, my college advisor” and then you draw conclusions out of them.
Is this really the scientific method? Aren’t you a scholar ?
you speak about “structural inequalities” but it seems you don’t know what they are, you have not given one solid example where there’ a true Systemic advantage of men over women in the field, so far the examples you’ve given are just mean or ignorant comments from people who should know better, and I ask, are women really that vulnerable and fragile? that a stupid comment would deter them from pursuing a career/study ? I’m honestly curious.
