13. The Orange City

It is unusual to find two railroad lines crossing at a railway crossing. Nagpur Railway has a “double diamond crossing” of this type. The Gondia railway line is the easternmost of the three main railway lines that converge at Nagpur Junction. This creates the diamond crossing and is part of the Howrah-Rourkela-Raipur Line.

3. First textile Mill

The earliest textile mill in the nation is situated in Nagpur. The Central India Spinning and Weaving Company Limited, which opened on the same day that Queen Victoria assumed the throne as Empress of India, was also known as “The Empress Mill.” On January 1st, 1877, it was founded by renowned businessman Jamshedji Tata. The factory produced textiles under the “Tata Textiles” brand, which were exported to China, Korea, and Japan. Sadly, it closed its doors in the 1980s after 100 years of business.
