how come?

Welcome to how come?. Here, we will together highlight and ask questions on issues, events, places and relationships as they affect our lives as humans. Then together, we put forth possible answers.

Yes, “possible answers”, because life, in more than six decades, has taught me that only a few things really have final answers and conclusions; though people are looking for definite answers in this riddle, called life!

Change, they say is the only permanent thing this side of creation. But through robust exchanges and interchanges of ideas here, and possibly elsewhere in cyberspace, we will cover some more distance in our different journeys through this life.

Your age, gender, education, experience, race or station does not really matter. Everyone born of a woman is welcome. Not how far or long, but how well. Hopefully, as we engage each other, we will together grow and become better citizens of our exciting world.

Who am I? Hakeem is my name. Life started quietly: the eleventh of twelve children (only 3 of us surviving). Moslem father; Catholic mother. Lived most of my life in Yaba, Lagos. Street-wise some. Been to, and worked in many places. Now retired and deliberately pursuing those things that really matter in life.

So much for an intro to how come? See you nest time.
