Entrepreneurship is a Relationship.
Many people want to be entrepreneurs, a lot of them for so many wrong reasons. People who go into entrepreneurship for the money will definitely meet the shocker of their lives when they exhaust their savings and their product is not yet in the market. The obvious fact is that they get frustrated and simply want out. This probably account for the failures of so many startups over the years.
Today at Seedstars Academy I have noted that it is important to build a network of people that are very important to your business, and this is especially important for startups. You might not readily need them now, but it’s important to keep them and follow them up as close as possible.
People will criticize your idea and most of the times say it won’t work. Most ideas that have seen the light of day were criticized, but the ideas still came to life. I have learned to take criticism and extract the valuable insights that will drive ideas to fruition. People who criticize your idea have not earned the right to do so. Why get worked out when they have not tried and tested the idea for themselves. They can only criticize you when they have conceived, tried and tested the idea — don’t get frustrated over critiques, use them as stepping stones.
When relationships are nurtured, you get the best out of it. Entrepreneurship is a Relationship, nurture it and you will see great success a changing the World!
