The story is one of the illustrations to explain the points you are about to convey. As an illustration one of the advantages of the story is to go into the subconscious mind of your audience.
And since the subconscious mind speaks of long-term memory, the illustrations along with the points you convey will shorten the memory in your audience long ago.

1. Personal
Stories about personal experiences related to the points you are discussing.
2. Historical
Stories of other people’s experiences, including the experience of a character with points you are explaining as you go
3. Algorithm
Stories that include parables, figures or metaphors. Metaphor is one way different from the point you are conveying
