A while ago, when #designtwitter tempers were flaring and when organizations were hurting in developing their design craft, I wrote this letter as a way to crystallize my own philosophy on design, the user’s experience, and the interwoven complexities and politics that prevented the community I belonged to from getting better — and never sent it.
