Top 10 Web Browsers in 2017

Do you believe your web browser is the best? Well, it could be. But is it the best for you?
There are several Web Browsers with different features and tools you might not know about. Choosing the right web browser for yourself will come in handy and ease your day-to-day tasks. We’ve got you covered. Here are the Top 10 Web Browsers in 2017, we hope you find the best option for yourself.

Google Chrome

Pros: Chrome claims to offer secure browsing and syncing capabilities that allow you to access your customized browser from any computer.
Cons: In the tests, it didn’t come out as the fastest browser.

Chrome is no doubt the best browser of 2017 and giving its competitors a hard time. If you haven’t tried it yet, it’s time to give it shot. Chrome was released in 2008 and since it has steadily gained commendable popularity. In today’s date, it has acquired the largest share of global internet usage. This browser maintains Google image and reputation of great innovation, performance, and industrial dominance. Though Chrome has a lot in common with the pre-existing browsers, it has substantially improved their methods and is now the new raging standard.

Chrome’s most of the appeal lies largely in its simplicity and speed, scoring more than average in both categories. The rapid page load times and seamless navigation help Google Chrome earn the #1 position on the list of Top 10 Best Web Browsers of 2017.

Mozilla Firefox

Pros: Mozilla’s new designs focus on simplicity, speed, and stability in performance.
Cons: Reaching its support team is a mammoth task.

Mozilla Firefox is consistent in versatility and feature-richness. It is ideal for both advanced and beginner users. Firefox has incorporated some new updates which have been successful in drawing web surfers who have migrated to other browsers. Firefox’s clientele is pretty loyal. Firefox has ditched the orange tabbed menu that was on the top left. It has been replaced it with a three-bar button menu that fits on the main toolbar. This new design called Australis rounds off the tabs and highlights the tab you are currently working on. The other tabs appear more lucid.

Firefox’s main menu concentrates on simplicity. You directly have the access to open private windows, find add-ons and set up Adblock Plus. This new focus on ease of use and the impressive speed of navigation makes Mozilla Firefox the #2 on the Top 10 Best Web Browsers of 2017.

Opera

Pros: Opera claims of cutting-edge multimodal features and competitive navigation speeds.
Cons: Features like parental controls are missing with some more compatibility issues.

Although it has a few compatibility conflicts, Opera is a secure, fast and feature-rich internet browser totally worthy of your consideration. It started in 1995 and stands as the second-oldest web browser currently in use. This browser works on a Google Chromium system. Opera is not the most popular desktop or mobile browser out there, but we are impressed with its features and security options and found it to be one of the top internet browsers in its own accord. This makes it #3 on the Top 10 Web Browsers of 2017.

Opera’s multimodal interaction is just one of its main cutting-edge features. The browser also claims of competitive launch and page load times and wide-ranging user support. Such well-rounded capabilities would have made Opera a first-rate internet browser if it hadn’t been for a few compatibility issues.

Safari

Pros: Safari’s launch and page load times are pretty impressive. The browser also provides all the security features we sought.
Cons: It does not offer customizations options like its competitors.

Safari is the browser if you want an elegant, sleek and, unobtrusive browsing experience. It is pretty famous for its intuitive usability. Safari is Apple’s lightweight and sophisticated internet handle. Safari trails behind the best internet browsers in terms of market share, simply because it was a Mac-only application until 2007. This might not be the only reason though, the internet browser is fast and easy to use, but it lacks the customization features that so many users seek in a browser these days. It still makes to the#4 on the Top 10 Web Browsers in 2017.

Every internet browser on the market claims some of the proprietary usability features, and Safari is not so different. Some of its commendable features include Reading List and Top Sites. Reading List is a slick way to save the URLs of web pages that you want to revisit and read later. Top Sites offers a one glance preview of your favorite websites. The concept though similar to an RSS feed, allows you to preview a site in full rather than a simple list of new content.

Microsoft Edge

Pros: It has a reading list much like Pocket or Instapaper.
Cons: Reading List doesn’t work offline.

Microsoft retraced back to drawing board and scrapped everything it had done so far with Internet Explorer. It built an entirely new browser from scratch; one without all of the baggage of Internet Explorer. Hence, Edge came into existence. It offers a modern, fast web browsing experience for Windows users. Edge also has some other new features that are cool but have limited utility. A Reading List feature lets you save articles and web pages for later reading, much like Pocket or Instapaper, though it doesn’t work offline.

Microsoft claims that Edge is largely for compatibility with a legacy enterprise. Edge is the default, and it will be available across Microsoft’s product line, from PCs to smartphones to Holo Lens and Surface Hub. It is built to be clean, light, and responsive. In my tests, it mostly was. It is an enhancing change from Explorer which makes it #5 on the list of Top 10 Web Browsers of 2017.

Vivaldi

Pros: It is highly configurable, fast, compliant with Web standards.
Cons: Can get chaotic if you enable all of its tools. No Reading mode or Share button. No syncing or mobile versions.

Vivaldi is a fast and highly compliant with all the latest Web standards. It’s very usable having all a standard browser features and innovations alike. All these aspects have been well implemented in a clear, efficient, and intuitive way. It lacks some basic features that its more mature competitors offer, such as a Reading mode, Share buttons, a syncing service, and mobile versions.

Vivaldi is available for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux and borrows some interface basics from Opera and Edge, with large, simple buttons, a menu that drops down from the browser’s logo button at the top left, and a collapsible toolbar, by default along the left rail. With all these features, it becomes #6 on the Top 10 Web Browsers in 2017.

Maxthon Cloud Browser

Pros: You can sync your phone and computer browser.
Cons: It lacks supplementary features like voice interaction commands and open-source development.

Maxthon might not be the fastest browser on the market, but still, it’s an excellent choice if you’re looking for a change in your browsing experience. It doesn’t offer anything revolutionary if you’re looking for the best internet browser. But it’s a basic browser that nevertheless runs smoothly and is compatible with every type of mobile device. You can drag and drop images and send them to your phone contacts or an email address in a few clicks. This feature works exceptionally well when you use a snipping tool. The synchronization works well if you care to save your browsing history from your PC to your smartphone and become #7 on the Top 10 Web Browsers in 2017.

Maxthon has improved a great deal since we last reviewed the browser software. It has added essential features in mouse gestures, parental controls, and autofill to the browser bar. These features fit nicely alongside the tabbed browsing, bookmarking capabilities, and other useful add-ons.

Microsoft Internet Explorer

Pros: Faster and more standards-compliant than ever. Minimal interface. Excellent security and privacy features. Site pinning for frequently used Web applications.
Cons: No syncing. No WebRTC support. Only installs on Windows 7 and 8.1

Internet Explorer 11 made its debut on Windows 8.1, but it’s also available for the more widely used Windows 7, which still runs on the majority of PCs. Microsoft’s latest version of IE is faster, has a lean interface, and is compliant with new standards. It is also more secure than previous versions that former users who left it behind may want to give it another try.

Upgraders from IE10 or even IE9 will be hard-pressed to notice any changes in the browser’s interface. It’s actually even lower key than Chrome’s, with the narrowest window frame across the top of any browser, since it places the search bar on the same row as the tabs. It is #8 on the Top 10 Web Browsers.

Torch Browser

Pros: A feature called ‘share button’ allows you to post on social media without visiting the specific social media sites.
Cons: It has a music app.

The speed, unique features and look of Torch is worthy of its mention here on the list on Top 10 Web Browsers in 2017 as #9. If you are a music fan, this service is a must download.

This Chromium-based software works well for daily browsing, but also has a few unique aspects that work adjacent to your toolbar. This commercial freeware places a large focus on music downloads and, oddly enough, torrents. It currently works on every version of Windows. Torch’s interface besides the specialized icons directly to the right of your browser bar is the only differentiating factor. The first, the share button, allows you to instantly post to Facebook or Twitter without visiting the sites themselves. The media button is incredible if you casually want to listen to music while on the internet. If you have a song file that you want to save, the media grabber enables you to save it directly.

While it may not sound like a service a major internet browser would want to brag about, the torrent icon brings up a simple chart showing all current downloading tasks. At last, the Torch Music icon allows you to sync up your music and share it on your mobile device. These four icons are very specialized and give this browser the necessary bump to rank it above similar browsing services.

Avant Browser

Pros: Avant Browser has commendable speeds and provides basic browsing functions.
Cons: It has compatibility issues with modern applications.

Avant Browser isn’t the best internet browser, but it’s a nice change of pace if you use already Internet Explorer.

The Avant Browser is an internet browser that boasts decent performance. The browser is essentially an add-on to Internet Explorer and includes basic features such as tabbed browsing, RSS feeds and a find-on-page function. The browser falls short in comparison to our higher ranked internet browsers, but you may enjoy it if you’re an Internet Explorer user.

Some of the features the Avant Browser provides are automatic updates, a password manager and an integrated Internet Explorer search engine. The browser also utilizes a multi-processing design. This means each open tab functions independently, so if one crashes it doesn’t crash the entire application. The browser also has a convenient undo function you can use when you accidentally close a tab. Avant’s seamless download manager lets you download files without having a pop-up window open. It is on #10 on the list of Top 10 Web Browsers of 2017.
