Today, we see advertising everywhere and no matter where we are, whether we eat in the subway, walk around the city or sit at home. She is everywhere — on the walls, on TV, on the Internet, on billboards, on vehicles. Advertisers are already dodging how they can if only we pay attention to the product. The approach to which advertisers have previously resorted is not so much the effect, people are more likely to be irritated by intrusive commercials and slogans that they basically stop buying these products. Therefore, in this area, there is now a huge problem, which consists of the need for a new approach that will attract consumers at a lower cost. To solve this problem, the project team took — ARROUND.

ARROUND is an augmented reality platform, through which new opportunities for advertising are created, operating using blockchain technology. Ordinary users will be able to interact with elements of augmented reality (hereinafter referred to as AR) through the mobile device application. In addition to users, the ARROUND platform will be able to integrate brands, advertisers, advertising agencies and developers of AR technologies within its ecosystem. The movement towards the development of VR and AR technologies is today one of the more promising, as evidenced by the huge number of companies that work in this industry. This is also indicated by the capitalization of these companies.

Virtual reality differs from augmented in that it completely replaces the vision of the real world. To enter it, the user is required to wear a helmet and stay in a special room, while augmented reality is created against the background of ordinary reality, it complements it, and the user needs a smartphone or special glasses to observe it. Observing augmented reality, the user can freely move around the real world.

ARROUND creates a new space for advertising, where it will have a targeted focus and will require much less cost. Also, this platform solves the problem of lack of demand for AR technologies. On its basis, there will be an interaction between advertisers and AR developers, which will encourage the latter to develop new technologies.

Principle of operation

Each individual visual object in the ARROUND platform, be it a 3D object, text, animation, or some kind of drawing, is called a “round.” Also, a link can be a link when clicked on which opens a separate page, or a link to other rounds or users within the platform itself.

Users of the system can create absolutely any rounds, but all of them will be limited by the time of action (can be set in the settings), as well as limited by the possibilities of visual design. To give them exclusivity, in the future it will be possible to purchase the necessary items.

A user can link his round to only one real object. He can also share it only for friends, certain people, for those who are close to everyone or leave it for personal use. When the round is over, it will remain in the user’s social profile (and the ARROUND platform is also a social network inside) and can be played from there.

Promotional rounds can be banners, looped videos of no more than a minute, or 3-D objects or animation. And it can also be game activations, that is, specific rounds that can interact with the user depending on his tastes and preferences.

For example, a user can write on the network that he went to a cool movie, and some of his friends liked the recording. At the same time, while a friend passes by the cinema, there will be an advertisement for the film itself, which he also wants to see.

We can also use the system as the following tools:

  • Social network with a binding of messages to geolocation. Messages may contain custom rounds that will be available during the day. Suitable for designating certain events and highlighting them on the map.

ARR token

As mentioned earlier, the ARROUND platform token will be ARR. It will be in it that all transactions within the system will be performed, which means that all possible awards, bonuses, rewards, payments for digital goods and services — ARR will be responsible for all this.

The ERC 20 standard in the Ethereum blockchain network, as always, has taken on the image of a reliable technical partner fully satisfied with the project.

Here it should be mentioned that ARROUND divides its blockchain into 2 components. 1 of them is an external and transparent system of holders of ARR tokens, and the internal one is a private blockchain aimed at preserving the copyright of platform participants (designers, artists, animators, etc.). This hybrid system will fully satisfy all system participants and legal point of view.

In total, 3 billion ARR tokens will be issued, a little most of which will be implemented as part of the ICO project, and it will be discussed later.

The active development of VR and AR technologies is what awaits us in the near future, and it is difficult to imagine the market for this industry. And the idea of ​​using AR to create alternative advertising space seems to me very successful.
