Why I choose Steam mobile?
I think Steam Mobile needs UI design update. It has old UI and all features on the web app. Steam mobile app allows you to buy games and socializing with friends. Steam has almost 15 million active users and they can use mobile app for buying but can’t chat with their friends. Steam Chat is a different app for only chatting. I decided to analyze in detail what could be revised and to propose a redesign concept.
Problems
There were lots of bugs and issues. Users want user interface update and noticed that the interface is outdated. the UX is bad. Some users say the back button or menu button is not functional.
1- Current UI is outdated and the UX is bad.
2- Move away from web app, brings native app styles.
3- Fix bugs and issues.
User Feedbacks
Target Audiences
The target users of this app are the people who use Steam! Moving from the Steam desktop application environment to a new mobile environment meant people had to learn and adapt to the latter.
Visual Research
Before getting started with the visual design I create an inspiration board. The purpose was to learn about the visual world and gathering inspiration from other gaming apps
