What Do You See When You Look At Me?

Is not the term ‘post-racial’ quite simply ideological? Personally, I doubt that there will ever be a time in human history when race will not be a primary identification factor.

The mere fact that we can perceive race or racial differences, physical or other, makes it a fallacy to hope otherwise. I think Obama was accurate when he said during his Chicago farewell speech “… such a vision , however well intended, was never realistic.”

I enjoyed your article. Great insights. Inspired me to pen a short poem in response:

What I See? Eternity…

loving oneself
 is looking inward
 while accepting the exterior
through the eyes of heavens above
 all doubts aside
