Even though i am a person that sticks to his old bands and not try to discover new musical works much, i certainly agree that Spotify can help people to do it. It is also better for the artists because they reach a diverse set of people they cannot reach from other platforms, and they even profit from it. We could have reached this level (or maybe do even better) a long time ago though, if some big bands haven’t caused the demise of Napster 15 years ago with lawsuits.
