  1. Registering To VPS Provider.
To install vps for the first time, you must have an account in vps provider. For vps provider, i would suggest using Vultr. VULTR is one of the well-known vps providers. I have used this provider for almost 1 years. I have not encountered any significant obstacles while using their services. There are several benefits that i can share to you.
    - Downtime (Maintenance) time is very short. So that it will not interfere your masternode performance.
    - Great customer service.
    - Payments can be made via paypal, alipay, wechat
    - You have IPv6 additional features with no fees. This IPv6 will be use if we want to setup masternode in one vps.
    - Payments can use bitcoin. For this payment menu, you can only activate it when you want to deposit money for the second time.

If you don’t have an account with Vultr, please register first.
If you wish, please use my referral account. https://www.vultr.com/?ref=7824949-4F
If you already have an account in Vultr, please go to next topic.

3. SSH Client Preparing

A. Checking OpenSSH availability
-
If you are using MacOS, you don’t need to install OpenSSH, you already have it in the system and it can be accessed from Terminal app.
- If you use the latest Windows 10, you already have OpenSSH installed in the system. How to check whether your Windows system has OpenSSH installed or not?
1. open Command Prompt application (press Windows Start button and type “cmd.exe” in search, click cmd.exe in search results)
2. in Command Prompt window type ssh. If you see output as on picture below, you have OpenSSH client installed and can skip further steps.

  • If you use the latest Windows 10, but when you do checking and OpenSSH not showing up, It can that OpenSSH is missing in your system. Below steps will explain how to add OpenSSH automatically in your Windows 10.

Navigate to Settings > Apps and click “Manage optional features” under Apps & Features. Click “Add a feature” at the top of the list, scroll down to find “OpenSSH Client (Beta)” and click Install. After installed, do checking like i mention above.

  • What if you are a non Windows 10 user. Hey, its not end of the world!!. You still can access your vps. What you must to do first is download Putty.
adjust downloads with your os system

After downloaded and installed, open Putty.
