Introducing Maxine, the owner of WordBirdCo and our GiveAway star.
Her business is truly local, inspired by our wonderful river and community. For many of you it will be the first time you’ve come across WordBird, so here’s the lowdown on this burgeoning local business.

Maxine is a former editor and publishing company owner turned print designer and lettering mural painter with a love of typography and words, hence the name Wordbird. She started designing wordy art prints to celebrate our community and that feeling of local pride that’s grown more than ever this year. When friends of hers up, down and over the river saw the prints, they felt the same local love and wanted versions for their own towns.

The business has grown from there, expanding to offer personalised name prints too. Aside from town and personalised name prints, she also creates art prints inspired by the river, which she lives next to and is a passionate about.
“With fewer holidays abroad, the river has been an amazing source of fun, relaxation and adventure to so many people this year.”

She’s just opened an Etsy shop WordBirdCoEtsy and is talking to local indie retailers too.

“We’re so lucky to live in such a wonderful area and my work is very much about celebrating what we have and creating art with personal meaning”

Thanks so much Maxine for being our GiveAway star. Your fabulous prints make perfect gifts for family and friends and help us all to #supportlocal ❤️❤️
