The Cost of Losing 30 Pounds

Man, this is so on point. I lost 30 pounds last year and the biggest costs for me were the new clothes (that is a struggle for another time) but also the cost of figuring out how the hell to cook healthy for myself. In the first three or four months I bought probably $500 of unnecessary groceries that just sat and rotted in my fridge because I had no idea how to cook anything that wasn’t chicken nuggets and pasta. Figuring out how to cook stuff that isn’t packed with calories but still leaves you feeling satisfied was SO HARD. Anyone that says poor people or overweight people should just ‘change the way they eat’ clearly has never had to learn to do that from scratch before.
