Amazon follows Ooooby’s lead… again

Amazon follows Ooooby’s lead and begins to trial a local food delivery service focussed on bringing the farmers market to your door, in a box. Here’s the LA Times article.

“Making fresh local food more available to more people on the one hand and on the other bringing more business to these small farmers and food producers — that’s our mission,” says Tony Lee of Fresh Nation, who has partnered with Amazon.

This is the second time Amazon followed Ooooby’s lead. The previous time was when Ooooby announced the use of drones as an option for delivering an Ooooby box, in a trial in Auckland in June 2013, about a month before Amazon announced its own trial of this delivery method.

Looks like we’re on the right track.
