Sometimes it’s not about the fiery sunset and burning skies. Sometimes its just about the sheer majesty of water falling from the skies into a cavern below. Akaka falls is seriously one of the most spectacular falls I have seen. A short hike through a trail takes you to a Jurassic Park like setting where the falls produces a sound rivaling planes flying next to your ear. On this day I managed to catch the falls with its surroundings lush green. While the clear blue skies usually are postcard material, I really liked the analogous color harmony the blues and greens have. — Sairam Sundaresan
