Wild — Photography by Daniel Greenwood http://ift.tt/1KyPiYy Something unique from this spot. Please view on black! This past weekend I witnessed some of the most spectacular moments ever since owning a camera!. I decided to take a day trip into the North Cascades just to hike a bit and scout around. Eventually I came across this small bundle of wild flowers on a slope directed towards the mountains. I noticed the amazing reflective properties in the still glass like lake. I knew I needed to shoot this composition, everything was here. The foreground, the reflective lake, the mountains, now I just needed some epic light. Looking around at the moment I shot this, the sky was covered in a thick blanket of over cast. I had almost given up until suddenly the sky lit up with the most amazing orange and golden light!. At this particular moment I was literally jumping for joy! As all the elements came together perfectly for the final image. Hillary Younger and I spent a few hours in a Skype call while I processed this file, so I got a few pointers from her more natural approaches! The final image consists of several exposures for focus blending as well as fast shutter speeds to freeze the movement of the flowers, as well as a few images for dynamic range! Thanks for looking. — Daniel Greenwood
