Open Flutter Project: E-commerce App Development Roadmap
There were a lot of questions about project roadmap and where we are going with this. So here is a short description of steps we are planning to take.
Step 1. UI in Flutter
First, we need to implement UI in Flutter and create basic widget test to setup development process. Current list of UI related tasks and developers responsible is available here.
Step 2. Server API
Second step will include creation of Server API Specification to clarify App interaction with the server and align model structure. Mockup API should be developed as well. Local database structure can be a good start for model structure description. If you are ready to take part in back end architecture create send me a message in linkedin.
Step 3. Ordering
Step 3 will include implementation of E-commerce App product listing, ordering and user account functionality. Server API call can be mocked with local JSON files to speed so we do not have to wait for backend to be ready. Backend API development will be done on this step too.
Step 4. Integration
This phase includes integration of all developed components, additional features development and setting up CI/CD (continuous integration/development). Upload app to stores and testing it together. To subscribe to beta testers get in touch with me.
Step 5. First Customers
Identify first small and medium businesses that will use the app and add value to their business using E-commerce App. We are building commercially valuable application and final step is to get it used by SMB (small and medium businesses). Want to get this app? Fill in a simple form here.
Step 6. Feedback
Get feedback from App customers, improve user experience and design. Get industry acceptance.
Step 7. Themes and customization
Develop additional business related themes and app versions. App customization and versioning.
