One of these days, someone is going to show up in silicon valley and finally get it into the heads of folks there, that ELBs have never worked.
They’ll finally understand that one of the basic underpinnings of horizontal scaling doesn’t work. And then other foundational principles of their architectures will begin to fall apart as well.
Eventually they will realize they’ve been going about this all wrong. Their desires will not change, nor should they. But in that moment of clarity they will begin to think again about how to solve the existing problem rather than continue down a failed path.
